Everton consider making move for Ali Al-Habsi?

Everton are reportedly considering a move for Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi after losing Tim Howard to injury.

Everton have reportedly added Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi to a list of possible targets to fill the void created by Tim Howard's injury.

Roberto Martinez has confirmed that Howard faces a spell of up to six weeks on the treatment table with a calf injury, meaning that understudy Joel is likely to become the new first-choice shot-stopper.

According to the Daily Mail, Martinez is considering looking into the possibility of signing Al-Habsi on a short-term deal to cover for Howard.

However, Al-Habsi's participation in the Asia Cup in January could threaten any potential deal between the Toffees and Wigan.

Martinez signed the 33-year-old for Wigan in 2011.
