Roberto Martinez prepared for brave Aston Villa

Everton manager Roberto Martinez expects Aston Villa to visit Goodison Park with the intention of picking up three points.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has claimed that he expects Aston Villa to show "bravery" when they visit Goodison Park on Saturday.

Villa travel to Merseyside on the back of a West Midlands derby victory over West Bromwich Albion, and Martinez is preparing for Paul Lambert's side to adopt an attacking approach against his team.

"Aston Villa will be a team coming here to win. They're not a side to try and just nick a point," Martinez told Everton's official website.

"They're a team full of bravery, energy and attacking threat. We'll be aware of that but it's about ourselves.

"You need to praise the way they play and open games which leads to chances for both sides. What you always get with Villa is they will always be in the game."

Everton could return to fifth in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
