Team News: Connor Sammon makes first Derby County start of the season

Connor Sammon makes his first Derby County start of the season as they travel to Millwall in the Championship.

Connor Sammon makes his first Derby County start since last May as they travel to Millwall in the Championship this afternoon.

Darren Bent misses out for the Rams through illness, and manager Steve McClaren has named former Wigan Athletic striker Sammon up top in his absence, while Simon Dawkins and Craig Forsyth are also included.

Will Hughes is named in midfield, while Tom Ince and on-loan Manchester United man Jesse Lingard are also selected by McClaren.

Meanwhile, the home side have made three changes for the visit of the promotion-chasing Derby.

Jos Hooiveld, Lee Martin and Lee Gregory come into the side for Magaye Gueye, Ricardo Fuller and Mark Beevers.

Millwall: Forde; Dunne, Nelson, Hooiveld, Harding; Martin, Abdou, Bailey, Woolford; O'Brien, Gregory

Derby: Grant; Shotton, Keogh, Forsyth, Warnock; Hendrick, Dawkins, Hughes; Ince, Lingard, Sammon.
