Half-Time Report: Henri Lansbury own goal puts Derby County ahead

Henri Lansbury puts the ball into his own net to give Derby County a 1-0 lead over Nottingham Forest in the Championship.

An own goal from Henri Lansbury has given Derby County a 1-0 lead over Nottingham Forest at half time in their Championship match at the iPro Stadium this afternoon.

The visitors wanted an early penalty when Jake Buxton appeared to bring down Michail Antonio during a set piece, but the referee was not interested in Forest's appeals.

Antonio had a chance to open the scoring a few minutes later when he tried to curl the ball in from just outside the box, but his finish was always rising.

It was Derby who broke the deadlock with just over quarter of an hour played when Johnny Russell curled a corner into the box, only for Henri Lansbury to head into his own net.

The hosts pushed to double their lead as Jamie Ward tried to head the ball in, but Dorus de Vries managed to tip it behind for a corner.

Britt Assombalonga had a chance to set up an equaliser, but Jack Hobbs's finish failed to test Lee Grant in the Derby goal.
