Two of De Boer's Ajax alumni have been handed starts as Jairo Riedewald and Manchester United loanee Timothy Fosu-Mensah are included in the XI.

Also making his debut is Ruben Loftus-Cheek, on loan from Chelsea, while Wayne Hennessey is preferred to Julian Speroni in goal.

Palace, looking to improve their record of winning one game in their last 12 against Huddersfield, are without Yohan Cabaye, James McArthur, Bakary Sako, Connor Wickham and Pape Souare through injury.

Among the visiting Terriers lineup are record signing Steve Mounie and Tom Ince making their debuts for David Wagner's side, while captain Tommy Smith is fit enough to start after recovering from a foot injury.

Unavailable this afternoon are Jonathan Hogg and Nakhi Wells, both victims of ankle problems.
