Alan Pardew praises substitue Adlene Guedioura after Tottenham Hotspur win

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew hails the impact of half-time substitute Adlene Guedioura after the Eagles came from behind to beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has said that the introduction of Adlene Guedioura changed the game and helped his side beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 on Saturday.

Goals from Dwight Gayle and Jason Puncheon gave Pardew his first Premier League win in charge of Palace after Harry Kane had earlier put Spurs in the lead, and Pardew has highlighted half-time substitute Guedioura as the difference.

He told Sky Sports News: "[Barry] Bannan is a great technical player and I thought we could get him on the ball today but we couldn't get enough of the ball so I changed him for this boy (Guedioura), who I don't know very well but had seen a couple of flashes of in training.

"He had the power to deal with (Moussa) Dembele and that worked for us, he changed it for us. He took the game on ten yards for us and then we made changes from there and it kind of kicked in ironically when scored."

Guedioura joined Palace from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2012 and has recently been on loan at Watford.
