Coventry City boss Tony Mowbray bemoans lack of finishing against Bradford City

Coventry City boss Tony Mowbray admits that his side could have beaten Bradford with some better finishing following their 1-1 draw at the Ricoh Arena.

Coventry City boss Tony Mowbray has admitted that his side's lack of finishing cost them during their 1-1 draw with Bradford City.

Mowbray picked up his first point as Sky Blues manager on Tuesday as Bradford fought back to earn a share of the spoils at the Ricoh Arena.

Despite claiming a valuable point in the their fight for survival, Mowbray believes that Coventry could have won the game with a more clinical edge in front of goal.

"We had some really blatant clear-cut chances," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "Someone said 'shooting practice on Thursday' and it feels like that. Sometimes you have to put these teams to the sword.

"Maybe their finishing was a bit rusty, maybe it's a lack of confidence and maybe one or two have got to hit the net and get them on a roll."

Coventry are back in action on Saturday when they make the trip to Chesterfield in the league.
