Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly desperate for his side to sign Chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour.

The 18-year-old put in a man-of-the-match performance against Liverpool on Tuesday night as the Blues booked their spot in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup with a 2-0 win.

According to El Desmarque, both Real Madrid and Barcelona have been tracking the teenager, but Guardiola is determined to bring him to the Etihad Stadium 'as soon as possible'.

Gilmour joined Chelsea from Rangers in 2017 and has now made six first-team appearances for Frank Lampard's side this season, including two outings in the Premier League.

The Scotland Under-21 international, who has captained Chelsea's Under-23 side this season, has a contract at Stamford Bridge until June 2023.

Guardiola will allegedly be staying with the Citizens this summer even if the club are unable to overturn their two-year European suspension.
