Chelsea winger Eden Hazard says that he is "happy" for Daniel Sturridge after the Englishman scored his second goal of the week on Saturday evening.

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has said that he is "happy" for Daniel Sturridge after the Englishman scored his second goal of the week on Saturday evening.

Sturridge's strike from outside the box rescued Liverpool a point against the Blues in the Premier League clash after Hazard's first-half goal looked to be enough for Maurizio Sarri's side.

Hazard told reporters that, when fully fit, 29-year-old Sturridge is a "fantastic player".

"I said to him the goal wasn't bad, to be fair. He scored twice. One Wednesday, one today like me. Maybe he try to be like me," the Belgian international said.

"But no he is a great, great player. I had a chance to play with him a bit at Chelsea. And I know he is a fantastic player. He had a lot of injuries in the last few years but when he is on the pitch he can create goals like this.

"I am happy for him but not happy for Chelsea."

The 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge sees Liverpool move level on points with Manchester City at the top, while Chelsea are two points adrift.
