Chelsea consider approach for Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim?

Chelsea are allegedly considering a formal approach for Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim as reports continue to link Antonio Conte with an exit from Stamford Bridge.

Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim has reportedly emerged as a potential managerial target for Chelsea.

With the Blues looking increasingly unlikely to finish in the top four in the Premier League table and alleged disagreements over the club's transfer policy, Antonio Conte continues to be linked with a summer exit from Stamford Bridge.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is said to be in the running to replace Conte but according to Yahoo Sport, Chelsea have made an inquiry regarding Jardim.

The 43-year-old has been at Stade Louis II since 2014, with 120 wins coming from 2012 matches in all competitions, while the Ligue 1 outfit recently moved to extend his deal at the club to 2020.

The report also claims that Jardim has a release clause of £6.55m, although Chelsea are unlikely to be deterred by that figure should they push forward with any interest in the Portuguese.
