How Chelsea could line up against Norwich City

Sports Mole looks at how Chelsea could line up in Tuesday's Premier League clash with Norwich City.

Chelsea will resume their battle for a top-four spot in the Premier League when they welcome already-relegated Norwich City to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.

The Blues will enter the match off the back of a 3-0 defeat at Sheffield United on Saturday, which harmed their chances of finishing inside the Champions League positions.

Frank Lampard's side are currently still third in the table but could find themselves down in fifth by the time that they take to the field for the clash with the Canaries.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the home side could line up in London.

Kante has missed Chelsea's last two Premier League matches with a hamstring problem, and it remains to be seen whether the Frenchman is risked for Tuesday's contest.

The 2018 World Cup winner is allegedly closing in on a return to fitness, although it would not be a surprise to see Lampard leave him out against Norwich with the view to featuring against Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-finals on July 19.

Mateo Kovacic made the bench against Sheffield United after recovering from an injury of his own, and the Croatia international could now return to the starting XI on Tuesday night at Jorginho's expense.

There are expected to be alterations from the clash with the Blades, meaning that Antonio Rudiger and Olivier Giroud could feature, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek is also in contention for a starting role.

Lampard is expected to resist the temptation to make wholesale changes, though, with the likes of Christian Pulisic, Willian and Cesar Azpilicueta set to feature once again.
