Kenwyne Jones exits Cardiff City on loan

Cardiff City striker Kenwyne Jones confirms a loan switch to UAE side Al Jazira Club until the end of the season.

Kenwyne Jones has completed a loan switch to UAE side Al Jazira Club for the rest of the season.

The 31-year-old striker has found playing time hard to come by at Cardiff City this season, featuring just nine times in the league and scoring twice.

In a post on Facebook confirming the move, Jones said: "I am really appreciative of the opportunity to have worked with a great team at Cardiff, and to play in front of some of the most passionate fans in Wales.

"This decision was made based on the opportunities presented to me.

"I would like to say thank you to the Bluebirds' staff and players - I wish them all success in their future endeavours. I also extend a special thank you to the amazing Bluebirds supporters. It has really been my absolute pleasure, and I will never forget you."

Al Jazira Club are based in Abu Dhabi and play in the UAE League.
