Aron Gunnarsson praises Cardiff City's 'character'

Cardiff City midfielder Aron Gunnarsson praises his side's 'character' after the Bluebirds beat Nottingham Forest 2-1 to move back into second in the Championship.

Cardiff City midfielder Aron Gunnarsson has praised the character of his teammates after the Bluebirds beat Nottingham Forest in the Championship this evening.

Neil Warnock's side moved back into second place in the standings with three games to play, as goals from Sean Morrison and Gunnarsson earned three points at the Cardiff City Stadium.

"We had to dig in today and luckily we got the three points," Gunnarsson told Sky Sports News after the game.

"It shows the character and the determination in this group because Forest had nothing to lose and wanted the three points, but we managed to dig in and get them."

Cardiff now require a maximum of two wins from their final three games to secure automatic promotion into the Premier League.
