Sean Dyche: "We're mentally and physically motivated"

Burnley manager Sean Dyche reveals that his side are prepared for the "magic moment" when they will kick off their Premier League campaign at home to Chelsea tonight.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has said that his side are prepared for the "magic moment" when they will kick off their 2014-15 Premier League campaign at home to Chelsea tonight.

Dyche led Burnley to automatic promotion out of the Championship last season after finishing second, and despite being tipped by many as the favourites to go down this year, the 43-year-old has said that his team are 'confident'.

"What we are looking to guarantee is that we're ready, we're able, we're certainly mentally and physically motivated to go and deliver performances," Dyche is quoted as saying by ITV Sport. "Where that takes us we'll only know once the season gets off and running.

"There's always confidence because you believe in how you work, your staff work and your players work. That's what coaching and management is about, but you can only get to that point when you're ready. When that whistle blows, it really is down to players and how they perform. That's the magic moment.

"We're obviously looking to show we can at least be competitive, give good performances and see where that takes us."

You can follow live minute-by-minute text commentary of tonight's game on Sports Mole from 7pm.
