Burnley midfielder Dean Marney to miss rest of season

Burnley confirm that midfielder Dean Marney will be sidelined for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury.

Burnley have confirmed that midfielder Dean Marney will miss the rest of the season with a cruciate ligament injury.

The 31-year-old suffered the problem during his side's 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.

Marney has made 22 appearances in all competitions for the Clarets this term.

Burnley continue their fight for Premier League survival on Wednesday when they face Manchester United at Old Trafford.
