Tuesday's Championship predictions including Burnley vs. Watford

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Championship fixtures, including Burnley vs. Watford.

Birmingham vs. Cardiff (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Birmingham City will be searching for a third-straight victory when they host Cardiff City at St Andrew's on Tuesday night in the Championship.

The Blues were successful in a West Midlands derby against West Bromwich Albion on Friday night, whereas Cardiff's terrible form continued with a defeat to Middlesbrough on Saturday.

We say: Birmingham City 1-1 Cardiff City

Birmingham are coming into this clash after the high of derby day success over West Brom on Friday night, a feeling that has not tended to suit Eustace's side this season in the following matches.

Cardiff were outclassed by Middlesbrough on Saturday and will be looking for a solid away performance at St Andrew's, one which could at least earn them a point.

Coventry vs. Millwall (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Millwall travel to the Midlands to face Coventry City on Tuesday evening looking to strengthen their hold of a Championship playoff spot.

At a time when the Lions occupy fifth place in the standings, Coventry find themselves down in 15th position after an indifferent run of form.

We say: Coventry City 1-2 Millwall

With Coventry having performed far better at home this season than on their travels, they will back themselves to earn a result against Millwall. However, the visitors have found a way of churning out wins, and we feel that will continue in a tight fixture.

Norwich vs. Hull City (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Norwich City and Hull City square off in the Championship on Tuesday evening looking for a win which will keep either club in the playoff hunt.

Just one position and one point separates the two teams, although 10th-placed Norwich have a game in hand on their opponents and some of the team above them in the standings.

We say: Norwich City 1-1 Hull City

Wagner is aware that he needs to quickly get Norwich back on track if they want to remain in contention for the playoffs. However, Rosenior's Hull side are generally putting in resolute performances on their travels, and we expect another point to be added to their total at Carrow Road.

QPR vs. Sunderland (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Aiming to break their eight-match winless run in the Championship, Queens Park Rangers will welcome Sunderland to Loftus Road on Tuesday.

Neil Critchley's side have dropped to 16th spot following their tough spell, while the visitors sit just a single point outside of the playoff places.

We say: Queens Park Rangers 1-2 Sunderland

QPR are lacking any confidence in their current slump, and even without Stewart, Sunderland have momentum on their side and the top six in their sights, and we back them to triumph at Loftus Road on Tuesday.

Burnley vs. Watford (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Burnley will aim to further extend their lead at the top of the Championship table on Tuesday, when they welcome Watford to Turf Moor.

A 10th straight league win saw Vincent Kompany's side maintain their seven-point lead over second-placed Sheffield United, while they now sit 17 points clear of third spot in the fight for automatic promotion.

We say: Burnley 2-0 Watford

Once again on home turf and with the visitors lacking any momentum, we can only envisage another dominant display from the Clarets on Tuesday, with Kompany's men seemingly cruising towards automatic promotion.

We fancy Burnley to continue their impressive form at both ends of the pitch and add three more points to their tally at Turf Moor.

Reading vs. Rotherham (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Reading manager Paul Ince on November 1, 2022© Reuters

Reading will be looking to get back to winning ways when they host Rotherham United in the Championship on Tuesday night at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

The Royals lost out to Sunderland on the road on the weekend, whereas Rotherham drew a third-straight game after a stalemate with Blackpool.

We say: Reading 1-1 Rotherham United

Reading are beginning to look over their shoulder after a poor run of results, however a home tie with Rotherham is a decent opportunity to get back to winning ways.

The Millers are not pushovers like second-tier Rotherham sides of the past, and we feel they have enough to earn a point in Berkshire on Tuesday night.
