FA Cup roundup: Bradford City, Bristol City safely through

Sports Mole rounds up Sunday's results in the second round of the FA Cup as non-league clubs Worcester City and Chester FC earn replays and Dover go through.

Bradford City cruised into the third round of the FA Cup with an emphatic win over Dartford at Valley Parade this afternoon.

Billy Clarke and Jon Stead were both on target in the first half, before Felipe Morais and Mark Yeates each scored in the space of a minute to put the win beyond doubt for the League One side.

A late goal from Dover Athletic captain Connor Essam sent the Conference Premier side through at the expense of League Two's Cheltenham Town.

The visitors had created several chances, with Tyrone Sterling hitting the post moments before Essam fired home, although Terry Gornell had a goal ruled out in the first half for the hosts.

Southport had to come from behind to beat 10-man Eastleigh in an all-Conference Premier clash to continue their run in the competition.

James Constable put the visitors ahead shortly before the break, but Richard Brodie levelled in first-half stoppage time.

Eastleigh were dealt a further blow early in the second when Dean Beckwith was dismissed for a foul on Mitchell Austin, leaving Micah Evans to fire in the winner shortly after.

AFC Wimbledon edged out a tightly-fought match against League Two rivals Wycombe Wanderers thanks to a second-half goal from Sean Rigg.

James Shea had a chance for an equaliser late on, but his finish went just wide to confirm the home side's exit.

Bristol City left it late against AFC Telford to confirm their place in Monday's draw for the third round.

Kieran Agard found the back of the net during a goalmouth scramble in stoppage time to end the Conference side's hopes.

Worcester City came from behind to earn a replay against Scunthorpe United as they look to knock a second league side out of the competition.

Having beaten Coventry City in the first round, the visitors fell behind early on when Paddy Madden fired home for the League One club, but Daniel Nti leveled after the break for the Conference North side.

Chester FC earned a replay against League One's Barnsley, although the non-league side had a goal disallowed late on.

Ben Heneghan thought that he had done enough to send the Conference outfit through, but the referee chalked off the strike for offside.

Aldershot Town also had a goal disallowed in their match against Rochdale, ensuring that the two clubs will need a replay to decide the tie.

Calvin Andrew found the back of the net in the first half, but his effort came from an offside position.

Results in full: Aldershot Town 0-0 Rochdale, Barnsley 0-0 Chester FC, Bradford City 4-1 Dartford, Bristol City 1-0 AFC Telford, Cheltenham Town 0-1 Dover Athletic, Scunthorpe United 1-1 Worcester City, Southport 2-1 Eastleigh, Wycombe Wanderers 0-1 AFC Wimbledon
