Brighton & Hove Albion announce that they have completed the signing of 20-year-old forward Simon Adingra from Danish outfit Nordsjaelland on a four-year deal.

Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of 20-year-old forward Simon Adingra from Danish outfit Nordsjaelland.

The Ivorian has put pen to paper on a four-year contract and is believed to have joined the Seagulls for a fee in the region of £6m.

Adingra, who recorded 16 goals and five assists in 37 appearances for Nordsjaelland last season, become Brighton's second signing of the summer window after Julio Enciso joined from Club Libertad earlier this month.

Speaking to the club's official website on Adingra's arrival at the Amex Stadium, technical director David Weir said: "We're delighted to welcome Simon to the club. He's an exciting young player who has had a terrific start to his career in Denmark.

"He's a creative offensive player who can play on both sides and is very good in one-on-one situations.

"He's a talented young player who we've had an eye on for a while, and we're looking forward to helping him with his development."

Adingra, who is a product of Ghana's well-renowned Right to Dream academy, quickly became a first-team regular in the Danish top flight for Nordsjaelland after he joined the club in January 2020.

The forward is now set to join up with Graham Potter's side for pre-season ahead of the 2022-23 campaign, which for Brighton begins with a Premier League home clash against Brentford on August 6.
