Beram Kayal ruled out for Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton confirms that Beram Kayal will miss Tuesday's trip to Ipswich Town due to an ankle injury.

Midfielder Beram Kayal has been ruled out for Brighton & Hove Albion's trip to Ipswich Town on Tuesday evening with an ankle injury.

The 28-year-old has featured in 51 of the Seagulls' last 56 Championship fixtures but will miss out on the journey to Portman Road after coming off at the break during Saturday's 2-0 victory over Barnsley.

"He's still a little bit sore, so he will miss tomorrow, then we will assess it over the next day or so and see if, hopefully, he can be fit for the weekend," Hughton told The Argus.

"The problem always when you go through a period like this is the games come thick and fast. If we think we have any chance for Saturday, then the turnaround for Tuesday is too quick."

Brighton, who are currently third in the Championship, go on to face Sheffield Wednesday next weekend in their final game before the international break.
