Blackburn Rovers Action Group insist that they will continue to boycott the Championship club's games if manager Steve Kean is not sacked.

Blackburn Rovers Action Group have warned the Lancashire club that more fans will refrain from attending games if manager Steve Kean remains at Ewood Park.

A host of supporters have called for the sacking of the Scotsman after the club plummeted into the Championship from the Premier League last season.

While recent reports had claimed that the club's Indian owners were ready to call time on Kean's career, global adviser Shebby Singh has confirmed that the 44-year-old will stay put.

A statement from the supporters group said: "Conflicting stories of the series of events which lead to Steve Kean going from being on the brink of removal to retaining his position, has been met with disgust across the whole supporter base.

"Blackburn Rovers attendances are at a 20 year record low, as many loyal supporters have taken the painstaking decision to boycott this season until the manager is removed.

"The team's performances on the pitch have been unconvincing to say the least. The longer he remains in charge the more likely it will become apparent that more supporters will disappear in their droves, never to return under the current ownership."

Rovers currently sit second in the league table after seven games.
