Brazilian defender Emerson insists that he would be "ready" to represent Barcelona next season.

Brazilian defender Emerson has insisted that he would be "ready" to represent Barcelona should the Spanish champions bring him to Camp Nou for the 2020-21 campaign.

The 21-year-old signed for Barca from Atletico Mineiro last summer but immediately joined Real Betis as part of a joint financial operation.

The Catalan giants can allegedly bring the defender to Camp Nou for £5.2m in 2021, but a recent report claimed that they could instead take up an £8m option to sign him ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

Emerson has said that he would be "ready" to represent Quique Setien's side next term.

"I didn't think I would get to this level so quickly. and this season has been the best one of my life. Things move fast, but I am ready to play for any team, including Barcelona," Emerson told Ace.

The right-back has been in impressive form for Betis during the 2019-20 season, contributing three goals and five assists in 23 La Liga outings.
