Paul Lambert confident of Aston Villa revival

Paul Lambert backs Aston Villa to respond positively to their defeat against West Ham when they travel to Cardiff City on Tuesday.

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert has backed his side to respond positively to their defeat against West Ham United when they travel to Cardiff City in the Premier League on Tuesday.

The Villans are currently four points clear of the relegation zone following Saturday's 2-0 loss at home to the Hammers.

However, Lambert is confident that the team will get back to winning ways when they face fellow strugglers Cardiff in South Wales.

"It's another game we will try and go and win. It's another hard game," the Scot told the club's official website.

"But away from home is where we have picked up a lot of points. That's what we will try and do again this week.

"It's good to have another game. We are away from home. Being away from home seems to suit us at the moment. We will go there and try to win."

Villa travel to Cardiff on the back of two consecutive defeats in the top flight.
