Manchester City will reportedly entertain offers of €30m (£25.6m) for defender Aymeric Laporte amid interest from Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus.

Manchester City will reportedly entertain offers of €30m (£25.6m) for defender Aymeric Laporte this summer.

The 29-year-old has spent the last five-and-a-half years at the Etihad Stadium, making 179 appearances across all tournaments and winning 12 trophies including five Premier League titles and the Champions League.

Laporte was part of Pep Guardiola's treble-winning squad last season, but he was forced to settle for a peripheral first-team role after falling behind Ruben Dias, John Stones, Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake in the pecking order.

After missing the first two months of the 2022-23 campaign due to injury, Laporte went on to start 20 games in total across all competitions, including just 11 Premier League starts, while he watched on as an unused substitute on 22 occasions.

The Spain international still has two years remaining on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, but it is thought that his days on the blue side of Manchester are limited, especially with the Citizens hoping to wrap up a big-money deal to sign fellow left-footed defender Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig.

Laporte is believed to be keen to gain regular first-team football next season and has allegedly instructed his representatives to find him a new club.

Man City, meanwhile, are said to be open to cashing in on the former Athletic Bilbao man who cost £57m in January 2018.

Serie A giants Juventus are understood to hold a strong interest in Laporte, as they prepare for life without veteran defender Leonardo Bonucci, who has recently been linked with Newcastle United.

A potential stay in the Premier League has also been mooted for Laporte amid interest from North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Aston Villa have also been credited with an interest, although that will seemingly cool as soon as they complete the signing of fellow Spaniard Pau Torres from Villarreal.

According to Sky Sports, via TuttoJuve, Man City are prepared to part ways with Laporte if they receive an offer of €30m (£25.6m) this summer.

The report adds that Juventus are under the impression that Laporte's current valuation is "negotiable" and the Italian club may be able to recruit the defender for a lower price.

It is thought that both Arsenal and Spurs would have no issues with Laporte's asking price, but it remains to be seen whether the Spaniard is willing to remain in England or seek a fresh challenge in a different league.

A recent report claims that Laporte has no interest in signing for Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham, who are on the lookout for defensive reinforcements, particularly left-footed ones, ahead of 2023-24.

Meanwhile, Arsenal – who signed both Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko from Man City last summer – may also consider swooping for a left-sided centre-back, but their current focus is on finalising a deal for Ajax defender Jurrien Timber.
