Arsene Wenger hails Everton loanees

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger praises the impact that Everton loanees Gareth Barry, Romelu Lukaku and Gerard Deulofeu have had at the Toffees this season.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has hailed Everton's use of the loan system to snag crucial players in their hunt for Champions League football.

The Toffees secured the temporary signings of Gareth Barry from Manchester City, Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea and also Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu last summer.

Wenger told The Mirror: "It is true Everton have done a quality job on that front because they have got Barry, Lukaku, Gerard Deulofeu from Barcelona.

"Lukaku and Barry yes they have been influential. Gerard Deulofeu is a very good player, who has the quality to play for Barcelona so I think he will maybe go back there."

Wenger has also hit out at the loan system stating that players should have to play against their parent clubs during the season.
