George Groves: 'I have no doubts ahead of return'

George Groves insists that he has no doubts about his ability as he prepares to return to the ring for the first time since being beaten by Carl Froch.

George Groves has insisted that he has no doubts he can still compete with the best fighters in the world after securing a world title eliminator bout with Christopher Rebrasse.

Despite being beaten by Carl Froch for the second time in May when he was floored by his British rival, Groves has dismissed suggestions that he will struggle to find his best form against Rebrasse on September 20.

"I think it can be a mental problem for some fighters, but not for me," the 26-year-old told Sky Sports News. "A mistake was made and whenever a mistake is made it has to be rectified.

"I don't question my chin, I think I've got a good chin. I think Carl Froch when he can, can punch hard. I think most people would have got knocked out if they left that opening and got hit with that shot.

"I don't doubt myself in the slightest. It is boxing, it breaks my heart sometimes, but that is the reason I love boxing."

The winner of the bout between Groves and Rebrasse will be in line for a fight with WBC super-middleweight champion Sakio Bika.
