Britain's Heather Watson wins her first WTA Tour title in the women's doubles at Stanford.

Britain's Heather Watson has won her first WTA Tour title after she was crowned women's doubles champion with Marina Erakovic in Stanford.

The 20-year-old and her partner beat Jarmila Gajdosova and Vania King 7-5 7-6 at the American tournament.

The Guernsey-born player was knocked out in the singles earlier in the week by Belgian world number 37 Yanina Wickmayer.

Watson, who is ranked 79th in the world, was recently defeated in the third round of Wimbledon by eventual runner-up Agnieszka Radwanska.
