Katie Swan and Katie Boulter both progress to the next round of qualifying at the Indian Wells Masters, but Harriet Dart and Jodie Burrage are eliminated.

Great Britain's Katie Boulter and Katie Swan both progressed from the first round of qualifying at the Indian Wells Masters, but Jodie Burrage and Harriet Dart were eliminated.

Boulter secured a 6-4 6-2 win over former junior world number one Diane Parry, while Swan progressed 6-2 6-1 past France's Leolia Jeanjean.

However, Dart fell to a 1-6 2-6 defeat to American wildcard Caroline Dolehide, while Burrage went down 2-6 4-6 to Australia's Kimberly Birrell.

Boulter took just one hour and 14 minutes to prevail against Parry, who sits 40 places higher than the Brit in the rankings, setting up a tie with Ukraine's Lesia Tsurenko for a place in the first round.

Also taking on an opponent ranked significantly higher than her - 44 places to be exact - world number 156 Swan secured victory in 80 minutes against Jeanjean and will now tackle Hungary's Dalma Galfi - the first seed in qualifying.

Boulter and Swan are now bidding to join Emma Raducanu in the first round, as the former US Open champion prepares to face Danka Kovinic on Wednesday.
