Judd Trump has edged out Mark Williams by a 10-8 scoreline to win the Masters for the second time in his career.
Both players impressed in a memorable final at Alexandra Palace, only for Trump to win his first title of the season as he repelled the constant quality of his opponent.
Williams opened the final with a majestic 138 break, but Trump took the next three frames, heading into the interval with a 106.
That lead was further extended when the players returned, only for Williams to respond with a 100 break, but Trump was able to end the afternoon session with a 5-3 lead.
Two more frames were traded upon the resumption, yet that preceded Williams posting an 80 break and taking the next to level proceedings at 6-6.

After Williams edged in front for the first time since the early stages, the pair became embroiled in a 58-minute frame, Trump controlling it for the majority before restoring parity.
Back came Williams, firing in another century with a 107, but the veteran failed to take advantage of a commanding position in the 16th frame and Trump took his opportunity.
With the score at 8-8, Williams appeared well set to overhaul Trump's lead in the 17th frame, only to snooker himself at 59-40 down and allow Trump to convert that chance, too.
The title-clinching frame for Trump was more clear-cut, producing a 126 break much to the delight of the partisan Alexandra Palace crowd.
