Team England trap shooter Charlotte Kerwood has admitted that she enjoys the more relaxed atmosphere of the Commonwealth Games as opposed than the pressure environment of the Olympic Games.
Kerwood, 27, has won gold three times at the Commonwealths and she reluctantly agreed that this makes her a veteran of the sport considering that she has a 16-year-old teammate in Amber Hill competing alongside her.
"It's my third Commonwealths," she said. "I don't know if I like being a 'veteran' at 27, I quite liked being the 15-year-old. Now it's Amber's turn to be the young one.
"The Commonwealth Games have been good for me. I think it's the fact that I'm happy here. It's a relaxed atmosphere and not the same pressure as the Olympics, although obviously everyone wants to win.
"I did feel the pressure in London, although it was an amazing experience. I'd have liked to have done better."
Kerwood finished 16th in the London Games event.
