Steve Hansen names experienced New Zealand side

New Zealand coach Steve Hansen picks an experienced side for the All Blacks' opening match of the Rugby World Cup against Argentina.

Steve Hansen has named eight of the players that started the 2011 Rugby World Cup final in his team for New Zealand's opening match of the 2015 tournament against Argentina.

The All Blacks begin the defence of the Webb Ellis Cup at Wembley on Sunday, with captain Richie McCaw winning his 143rd cap for the country in a side that has a combined 1,013 international appearances.

There is just one change to the side that thrashed Australia in Eden Park last month, with Jerome Kaino coming in at flanker for Victor Vito.

The Pumas, who have seven players making their World Cup debuts, have never beaten New Zealand in 21 Tests against the current world champions.

New Zealand team to play Argentina:

Ben Smith, Nehe Milner-Skudder, Conrad Smith, Ma'a Nanu, Julian Savea, Dan Carter, Aaron Smith, Kieran Read, Richie McCaw, Jerome Kaino, Sam Whitelock, Brodie Retallick, Owen Frank, Dane Coles, Tony Woodcock

Replacements: Kevin Mealamu, Wyatt Crockett, Charlie Faumuina, Victor Vito, Sam Cane, TJ Perenara, Beau Barrett, Sonny Bill Williams
