Steve Hansen praises "tremendous" England

New Zealand coach Steve Hansen congratulates England following his side's 38-21 loss at Twickenham on Saturday.

New Zealand coach Steve Hansen has congratulated England after his side were beaten 38-21 at Twickenham on Saturday.

Tries from Brad Barritt, Chris Ashton and Manu Tuilagi saw the All Blacks suffer their first defeat in 20 matches.

"I'd just like to congratulate England on a tremendous performance," Hansen told Sky Sports News.

"They thoroughly deserved their victory and they should be very proud of what they've achieved. I thought they played some magnificent football.

"To my own side, I'm very proud of what they've achieved. I know we've fallen over today, but once we get over the disappointment the boys should sit back and reflect on what they've done and done very well."

England's win was their first against the world champions in nine years.
