Lyn Jones says he is delighted after London Welsh's victory over Exeter Chiefs.

London Welsh head coach Lyn Jones has expressed his delight after his side's first-ever Aviva Premiership win.

The Exiles recorded a dramatic last-gasp comeback as they beat Exeter Chiefs 25-24 in a thrilling encounter.

Jones, who watched his side lose heavily against Leicester Tigers and Harlequins in their opening two fixtures, was pleased by the Premiership new boys' display.

"Two weeks seems a very long time ago since we played Leicester here and were found wanting," said Jones.

"After having such a tough time against Leicester and at Harlequins, we've learned a lot about ourselves.

"We are delighted not just with the result but the performance was so much better. We didn't fold. We kept in there and took our opportunities. We showed a lot of character to come back."

London Welsh now find themselves sitting in ninth place in the Premiership table.
