Gloucester coach Nigel Davies admits that his side needs a strong end to the season after their 32-9 defeat at Sale Sharks in the Aviva Premiership.

Gloucester Rugby coach Nigel Davies has admitted that his side needs to finish the season strongly after their defeat at Sale Sharks in the Aviva Premiership.

The West Country club were beaten 32-9 at the Salford City Stadium on Friday to damage their hopes of reaching the playoffs.

"More than anything we need to finish strongly," Davies told Sky Sports News. "We let ourselves down today and I apologise for that, but we've got to bounce back from this.

"We've been knocked down today as a group, but that happens in the life, so the important thing is that we get up as we've got two games ahead of us."

Gloucester welcome Saracens to Kingsholm Stadium in the Aviva Premiership next Saturday.
