Chris Robshaw: 'England on right path'

Chris Robshaw insists that England are on the right path despite back-to-back defeats against New Zealand and South Africa.

England captain Chris Robshaw has insisted that the team's confidence has not been knocked by their recent defeats to New Zealand and South Africa.

Stuart Lancaster's side have come under pressure in the last two weeks thanks to narrow losses to both the All Blacks and the Springboks at Twickenham Stadium.

However, with the World Cup on the horizon, Robshaw believes that England are progressing and getting closer to the world's top teams.

"We haven't quite got the results we wanted in the first two games playing against the two best teams in the world but we believe what we're about," he told Sky Sports News. "The positivity in the camp is fantastic at the moment and we've had our debrief on the relevant games.

"There is no doubt at all in the minds of any of the players. We still believe in what we're doing and what we're about and we looked back at the South Africa game and know we're still creating chances. And that's a big thing."

England are back in action on Saturday when they welcome Samoa to Twickenham Stadium.
