Blake Green to leave Wigan Warriors at end of the season

Wigan Warriors confirm that stand-off Blake Green will leave the club when his contract runs out at the end of the season.

Wigan Warriors have confirmed that stand-off Blake Green will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.

The 27-year-old, who will return to his native Australia, joined the Warriors from Hull Kingston Rovers last year.

Green is currently recovering from the torn bicep that he suffered against Leeds Rhinos last month.

"I have thoroughly enjoy my time here and made some wonderful friends and created memories that will stay with me forever," he told the club's official website.

"I would also like to give special thanks to Shaun [Wane] and his coaching staff for improving my game and giving me the tools that I will need to be a success in the NRL."

Blake is expected to return to action for Wigan during August.
