Norwich will report allegedly racist comments made on Twitter to police.

Norwich have confirmed that the club will be speaking to police after reading allegedly racist comments about Sebastien Bassong on Twitter.

The Cameroon international scored the Canaries' equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Everton yesterday.

Norwich chief executive David McNally used Twitter to respond to the comments, writing: "For those asking last night, we will be following up with the police regarding the racist comments reported after the game.

"Not relevant which team they support. Don't accept racism from anyone and so these comments will be reported to the police."

Norwich have previously contacted authorities after James Vaughan was the subject of alleged racist abuse on the social media site.
