Deflategate ball to be auctioned

One of the balls used in the NFL's deflategate game is to be auctioned with a reserve price of $25,000.

One of the so-called deflategate balls used in the NFL's AFC Championship game has been listed on an auction site with a reserve of $25,000 (£15,800).

The New England Patriots beat the Indianapolis Colts in the game on their way to clinching the Super Bowl, but were later found to have deflated balls in the game to make them easier to handle.

Chairman of Lelands, who are auctioning the item, Joshua Evans told ESPN: "This is a 'wow' type of collectible. This is one of the best conversation pieces that has ever been sold."

The ball was handed to fans in the crowd after LeGarrette Blount scored a touchdown in the third quarter of the game.
