Chelsea agree new 10-year deal with Adidas

Chelsea agree a new 10-year deal with global sports brand Adidas as the club's official sponsor.

Chelsea have signed a fresh 10-year deal with global sports brand Adidas.

The partnership will give Adidas the rights to create the club's sportswear in a deal that has been described by the Blues as the "biggest" to date in their history.

Chief executive Ron Gourlay told the club's official website: "We are delighted to extend our partnership until 2023 after a highly successful first seven seasons. Both organisations share the same ethos and ambition and the new deal reaffirms Adidas's belief in the club's status in world football."

Adidas chief executive Herbert Hainer added: "Both Adidas and Chelsea have a long and proud heritage in football and we are delighted to continue our working relationship with one of Europe's elite football clubs.

"We look forward to many more years of success, working closely with the club on product, marketing and grassroots initiatives in the UK and around the globe."

Adidas first joined up with the West London outfit in 2006.
