Arsene Wenger in the dark over dispute involving Ainsley Maitland-Niles's mother

Arsene Wenger admits that he is unaware of the details that led to Ainsley Maitland-Niles's mother reportedly being banned from the club's training ground.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he does not know the details of why the mother of youth player Ainsley Maitland-Niles was reportedly banned from the club's training ground.

Jule Niles is believed to have been involved in a physical altercation with Arsenal's chief negotiator Dick Law during her 17-year-old son's Under-21 match last month.

When asked about the incident, Wenger told reporters: "It is basically a private matter that I don't know really well about because I don't know what happened, but I know Ainsley very well and he has my complete support because he is a good boy and I am sure his mother wants a great future for him and to help him.

"There are some incidents that I don't know well and I don't know why, but the boy has a perfect behaviour inside our club. There are many times in the week with me in training."

Maitland-Niles featured in the Gunners' first team earlier this season by coming off the bench in their 4-1 win over Galatasaray in the Champions League.
