Will Stevens hopes to remain at Manor for 2016 Formula 1 season

Manor driver Will Stevens admits that he is keen to remain with the team for the 2016 Formula 1 season.

Will Stevens has said that he is "pushing hard" to make sure he stays with the Manor team for the 2016 Formula 1 season.

The British-based outfit, who have not scored any points in the constructors' championship so far this season, are the only team yet to confirm their driver lineup for next season.

The 24-year-old Briton, who has raced at every grand prix for Manor this season, told Sky Sports News: "They are the last two seats left on the grid and we are pushing yard to be in one of them. Everything is moving in the right direction.

"When you are fighting at the back of the field it is always hard to show people what you are made of and what you can bring to it. This year I really wanted to work on my one-lap pace and make sure my pace was always strong which it has been.

"Sometimes I probably haven't focused enough on my race pace, but that is probably the biggest thing I've learnt throughout the year. Have I done enough? I like to think so, my pace has always been strong compared to both my teammates and I think the team have been happy with the job I have done."

Stevens's best finish so far this season came at Silverstone at the British Grand Prix, where he finished 13th.
