Nouha Dicko signs new contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Nouha Dicko signs a new three-year deal with the Championship club.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have handed a new three-year contract to striker Nouha Dicko.

Dicko, the joint top goalscorer at Molineux last season, had attracted interest from Everton, who were reportedly ready to pounce with the forward having just 12 months remaining on his old deal.

However, after a successful period in the West Midlands, the Mali international has expressed his delight having committed his future to Wolves.

The 23-year-old told the club's official website: "I'm really happy to have this contract extension. I feel good at Wolves and I'm really happy here so I'm delighted that I'll be staying.

"My teammates, the head coach and everybody at the club have been really good with me, that helped me to settle and to show what I can do.

"For any player, the fans are really important as well. When you go to any stadium, it's always better to play with a good crowd."

Dicko has scored 28 goals in 59 appearances since joining Wolves on a permanent basis in January 2014.
