Stale Solbakken feels that his Wolverhampton Wanderers are playing with fear at the moment.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Stale Solbakken has admitted that his players have shown signs of fear over recent weeks.

Saturday's 2-1 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest means that Wolves have now not won in their last eight outings in the Championship.

With that run of results in mind, Solbakken is aware that he will need to reinstall the confidence back into his players.

"You could see in the second half, at times, we were scared and frustrated. It's important we don't do that and carry on believing and don't let our heads drop," said the Norwegian. "After we went 2-1 down, I saw the first signs of players not wanting to look for hard passes and making easy passes look difficult.

"If you're afraid of something you'll never turn the corner so we have to get over that and make sure we trust what we're doing.

"We have to get rid of any nervousness because that won't help. If you haven't won in eight, it's also a bit in the head."

Solbakken's side are currently 17th in the table.
