West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan: 'Slaven Bilic will bring in club legends'

West Ham United co-chairman David Sullivan believes that new manager Slaven Bilic will bring a number of club legends into his backroom team.

West Ham United co-chairman David Sullivan has revealed that new manager Slaven Bilic is likely to add a number of club legends to his backroom team.

The 46-year-old, who spent a season with the Hammers during his playing career, was confirmed as the Premier League club's new manager on Tuesday.

"It is very good for the club and the supporters," Sullivan told the club's official website. "We have taken a man who understands the 'West Ham way'. It is important how we play and that the players play with passion.

"I think he will bring a few of the West Ham legends to be part of his entourage and I think that is very good because it strengthens the bond with the supporters. He will take us into the Olympic Stadium and I think he will be here for a long time.

"We all want to pull together as a family and it is fantastic that we have someone who understands that. We have appointed a manager that we know the supporters wanted. He has a desire to win and I love managers who show they are part of the club."

Bilic agreed a switch to West Ham following a two-year managerial spell at Besiktas.
