West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic sweating over injuries

West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic says that he is yet to learn whether Dimitri Payet and Enner Valencia face injury layoffs.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic is yet to learn whether Dimitri Payet and Enner Valencia face layoffs after picking up injuries during the 1-1 draw with Everton.

The Croatian said that he did not see James McCarthy's game-ending tackle on Payet, but was told that it should have resulted in a dismissal for the Blues midfielder.

Bilic is awaiting the results of assessments on both players to establish the severity of their injuries.

"I didn't see the tackle, but people told me it should have been a red card. I will have to look at it again. But our player has been injured. I don't know how bad it is, but it was bad enough that he couldn't finish the game," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

"Then Enner Valencia came on and was injured too. Until we get the scan, we don't know how bad it's going to be. We hope that both players will be OK for the Spurs game after the international break.

"But many times, I've been told it's going to be OK, and then I get a call late at night, I speak to the physio and I learn it's going to be six to eight weeks. So we will see."

Manuel Lanzini gave West Ham the lead, before Romelu Lukaku equalised 10 minutes later.
