Tony Gale: 'Diafra Sakho a panic buy'

Former West Ham United defender Tony Gale believes that his former club may have acted a bit quickly in making the signing of Diafra Sakho.

Former West Ham defender Tony Gale believes that the Hammers have made a 'panic buy' when they recently purchased Diafra Sakho from FC Metz.

Gale thinks that West Ham's seventh signing of the summer will find it difficult to blend in after such a short time.

"It sounds like a little bit of a panic buy because it's done right at the last moment," Gale told Sky Sports News.

"Sakho hasn't had time to settle in with his own players, know their style of play, know when to make his runs or when to come deep."

Metz have threatened to sue West Ham over the transfer of Sakho, accusing the London club of foul play.
