Sessegnon gains West Brom work permit, eligible to face former club Sunderland

Stephane Sessegnon is granted a work permit to play for West Bromwich Albion and could now make his Baggies debut against former club Sunderland on Saturday.

Stephane Sessegnon can make his first appearance for West Bromwich Albion after today being granted a work permit.

The Beninese forward, 29, joined the Baggies from Sunderland on deadline day for a club-record fee but hasn't played since.

He is now free to do so and could make his debut for the West Midlands club against former club Sunderland on Saturday.

Neither side has started the season well and they occupy the bottom two places in the Premier League.
