Wales to offer Chris Coleman new deal?

Wales boss Chris Coleman is reportedly set to be offered a new contract by the Welsh FA that will include his side's qualifying campaign for the Euro 2020 finals.

Wales boss Chris Coleman is reportedly set to be offered a new contract by the Welsh FA that will include his side's qualifying campaign for the Euro 2020 finals.

Coleman remained the manager of the national side despite their failure to qualify for the World Cup next summer, and the Daily Mail indicates that Coleman is to be offered a new deal.

Senior officials within the FAW have met with the 47-year-old twice in as many weeks but negotiations are said to be at an early stage.

While a boost to Coleman's salary - believed to reach £350,000 if a deal is struck - could be in place, the manager is reportedly keen for assistants Kit Symons and Ryland Morgans to be awarded full-time contracts.

Coleman will name his squad on Wednesday to face France and Panama in friendlies later this month, with Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale absent after not featuring for Madrid since September 26.
