Agent: 'Fernando Llorente wants to stay at Swansea City'

Fernando Llorente wants to stay at Swansea City despite a recent slump, according to his agent and brother Jesus.

Fernando Llorente's agent has claimed that the striker is determined to overcome his recent struggle at Swansea City rather than quit in January.

The Spaniard joined the Welsh outfit from Sevilla in August, signing a two-year deal, but since Bob Bradley replaced Francesco Guidolin as manager, Llorente has not been given much game time.

The striker's exclusion has sparked rumours that he could move to Napoli when the transfer window reopens in less than two months' time.

However, his agent and brother Jesus Llorente has poured doubt over a possible switch to Naples due to his affinity with Juventus, where he spent two years of his career.

"Things are not going well," Jesus told Tuttomercatoweb. "The change of manager was fatal, because it was Guidolin who wanted Fernando, but my brother wants to get back to his level and take Swansea higher - that's his only objective.

"Napoli? We know Italy, the league is a great league but Fernando is a Juventino. Then, you know, anything can happen in football so you can never say never, but there's a special feeling with Juve."

Swansea have not won a game since the opening day of the Premier League season, drawing three and losing eight, which has sent them to the bottom of the table, five points adrift of safety.
