Arsenal edge past Swansea City

Arsenal score twice in the second half to pick up a narrow 2-1 away win against Swansea City in the Premier League.

Arsenal have registered a 2-1 away victory over Swansea City in the Premier League.

Chances were few and far between in the first half at the Liberty Stadium, with Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud coming close for the Gunners.

Arsene Wenger's side eventually went ahead just before the hour mark when Ramsey released Serge Gnabry to shoot past Swans goalkeeper Michel Vorm.

Ramsey himself scored Arsenal's second goal just minutes later after latching onto Giroud's pass.

Swansea pressed forward and gave themselves a lifeline with eight minutes left to play. Ben Davies cut inside from the left, picked out Wilfried Bony and after picking up the striker's flick, volleyed home past Wojciech Szczesny.

However, that goal proved to be too little too late as Arsenal saw out the remaining minutes to collect the three points.
