Ashley Williams wary of tough Liverpool clash

Swansea City captain Ashley Williams admits that his side face a difficult challenge to take a positive result from their match against Liverpool at Anfield.

Swansea City captain Ashley Williams has warned his side that they will have to be at their best to take anything from their Premier League match against Liverpool at Anfield.

Garry Monk's men have recorded back-to-back wins in the top flight to keep themselves right in the mix for a European place following their strong start to the campaign.

Williams has insisted that the Swans will face a difficult task when they come up against former manager Brendan Rodgers, despite the Reds' inconsistent form.

He told the club's official website: "It's going to be very tough. Both teams are comfortable on the ball and like to play in a positive way. Going up against a side managed by Brendan Rodgers will always be tough, but we will prepare very hard for this game in order to get a third straight win.

"We feel we can go anywhere in this league and win, but we have to perform on the day. The teams in this league are so good that if you are off it a little bit then they will punish you. So we know we have to be at our very best if we are to beat Liverpool at Anfield."

Swansea are eighth in the Premier League going into their match against ninth-place Liverpool.
